Fedor is the best.

Thanks coreymb: "Yeah, Fedor fighting at natural weight is damn impressive."
I wholeheartedly agree.

And how does Fedor go to another weight class to dominate it to improve his P4P rankings? He CANT because at HW, so he is heavier than them all. I mean, other fighters in 205 walk around heavier than him, but if he won everyone would said it was expected so big deal. (Rampage Jackson was 250lbs at UFC114) (Anderson Silva has been known to walk around at 230lbs).

Fedor is the best:
Fedor is only 6" and fights at 235lbs. Brock Lesnar walks around at 300lbs or something

Fedor has short little arms, yet knocks taller guys out in his weight class. (Anderson and BJ Penn have freakishly long arms to give then advantage)
Fedor has fought top 10 ranked guys in his last 3 fights. Neither can be said of Brock Lesnar or Shane Carwin.
Fedor is a WRESTLER, yet won by knockout in said 3 fights with wins in the first round. (Tim was technically submitted, but still he was on another planet during the submission)
Fedor has never lost.
Fedor has never lost stupidly. (Anderson Silva vs Ryo Chonan, GSP vs Serra, and all other examples where the ranked fighter was supposed to win)
Fedor fought the past top fighters in their respective peaks (Cro-cop, Big Nog, Herring, Hunt, Coleman, Fujita, Semmy, Randleman, Arona, etc.)
Fedor is the most respectful "nice guy" top ranked fighter in the sport currently. (IE: Good representative for the sport)
Fedor is well rounded.
Fedor is well rounded in a division that RARELY has well rounded guys. Sure in 135, 155 there are guys that can win with submissions and standing (Jose Aldo, Urijah Faber).
Fedor is well rounded in a time when most top ranked fighters are not.
Does BJ Penn have Fedor's consistency, wrestling, striking, and submission ability? No. Does Anderson? No. GSP, does anyone see GSP submitting/standing with anyone? Heck NO. So not only does no Heavyweight compare, but nobody in any other weight class comes close to his skillset.

Now why is Fedor not deserving of #1 PFP, #1 Heavyweight?

Fedor, who else comes close?

Why are so many people challenge what Fedor has accomplished? How many times has every other fighter been caught? Anderson, BJ Penn, GSP, Lyoto (he should have lost vs Shogun and he is very early in his career), Miguel Torres, Urijah Faber (as a side note, I dont know why these two were just ejected from most ppl's top 10 pfp after such dominance), Wanderlei (after a superb 3yr run), etc.

Fedor has NEVER lost. Never been caught by the lucky punch. Never by a lucky submission (esp not one like Anderson was caught with).
And as a wrestler, he finishes fights in the FIRST ROUND 70% of the time. Wrestlers, like Matt Hughes, Tito, GSP, typically just lay & pray decisions.

On top of that, he has a highlight reel of jaw dropping fights:

With Fujita, he is rocked and comes back 30 seconds later to a submission win. (most guys would be hugging the other guy still)
With Randleman Fedor is suplexed on his HEAD and submits him for a win 30 seconds later.
The last 3 fights against top 10 ranked fighters have ended in glorious knockouts against STRIKERS (which is more you can say about all of Lesnar's fights: no knockouts and no strikers.. and even Anderson's last 3 fights (Forrest is a brawler not known for knockout power).

Fedor fought Nog in his prime & dominated all 3 times, Cro-cop in his prime, Heath Herring in his prime (listen to the commentary during the fight, the announcers were in shock), Semmy Schilt 3 years before he went on to win rule K1 for 3 years, and even Mark Coleman while he still had power.

Fedor has beaten 6 UFC Champions, 3 or 4 K1 champions, and been on everyone's top 10 HW list for 7+ years.

Remember, Fedor is 6" and fights at 230lbs. In 90% of his fights, he has a
disadvantage in reach, height and weight. Hell, Anderson walks around at 225lbs!

There is simply nobody else fighting right now that comes close to what he has done. Nobody.

Fedor vs Anderson Silva

Lets pick another pfp champion and see how they compare with Fedor's competition.

I'll use Anderson Silva, the best pfp best fighter as per Dana White.

Anderson Silva vs Forrest?... Forrest was obliterated, same as Arlovski/Sylvia. Forrest was also in the top 10 in his weight class before the fight, just like Arlovski and Sylvia.
Anderson Silva vs Thales Leites? Thales was just dropped and possibly re-added to the UFC roster after a lackluster decision loss vs Alessio Sakara (4-4 in UFC) guy. Hardly champion material now.
Anderson Silva vs Patrick Cote? Cote isnt in any ranking I can find anywhere before or after.
Anderson Silva vs James Irvin? James Irvin isnt top ranked anything. Hong Man Choi (whom Fedor beat) has at least won K1 and beaten 3 time K1 winner Semmy Schilt. If he is considered a can, what is James Irvin?
Anderson vs Dan Henderson? Nobody can dispute Dan's credentials, he is the highest level of champion.

Since 2005, he has only had a few wins against champions:
Forrest Griffin, Dan Henderson, Rich Franklin, Nate Marquardt (7x Pancrease champ)

Even Fedors win over Mark Hunt is significant: Mark Hunt is a K1 winner, had never been knocked out (at the time), he took 3+ kicks from Cro-cop in the head.

So sorry, your argument holds no water.

I dont get why there is all the attention to bash one of the top 3 pfp best fighters in the world. Dont you love the sport? Just enjoy what we get. Dont you remember the time when we could barely get our favorite fighters to fight again, and get paid a living wage? Jeeze. Are you just upset that you cant have your favorite match ups? Well if you are younger than 18, I understand. If not, just look at your age & act it.

Please remember, I mean no disrespect to the guys fighting either champion, if I call them non-champion matierial. I was still excited for the fights and thought they had a chance, no matter how slim. But they proved on that day they didnt have what it took.

Arlovski vs Fedor

This is in response to someone saying Fedor will suck until he beats Randy.

Do I think that Arlovski was controlling the match: Yes
Do I think that Arlovski was on his A game and able to knock Fedor out at any point: Yes
Do I think if Arlovski had a better "mental" game would it have made a difference: No, that is crazy talk.

Obviously my personal analysis of a fighter has nothing to do with the reality of why they lost. They can only lose from bad training, bad coaching, bad cardio, mental distractions (Barnett was talking about how his coach was in big accident), losing confidence, etc.

Arlovski was more prepared for this fight than any I've ever seen him. He was aggressive, and controlling the fight. He was confident and his gameplan to beat Fedor was solid. Does it sound like Arlovski needed a better "mental game"? Not to me.

Any fighter can lose, the better ones are less frequent. He lost today. The only 2 options to believe are:
1) He got unlucky or
2) Fedor is better.

I think Fedor is better. You think he got unlucky. We'll never know who is right. Even if 99% of the world thinks Fedor is better, they will be just as right as you.
